multi axis CNC machining

FAQ about CNC Machining

The costs associated with CNC machining principally consist of material costs, machining time and defect rate.

Firstly, material cost is the most direct cost, through the establishment of long-term steady cooperation with some leading material suppliers.

We can get the best material price under the premise of the quality of materials, especially for batch manufacturing, we can achieve the most optimal costs of sourcing.

Secondly, machining time determines the machining cost of the whole production.

Optimization of machining process and improvement of machining facilities can greatly improve the machining efficiency and reduce the defect rate, which in turn reduces the unit cost of production.

Lastly, defect rate of the workpieces directly affects the unit loss of it, effective control of the defect rate can reduce unnecessary losses.

With years of experience, we will strive to optimize every factor of the machining process so as to enhance our competitiveness.

We guarantee to strictly follow the tolerances on your request. For unspecified tolerances, we will follow the standards of ISO 2768-m(medium) or ISO 2768-f(fine) by default.

Geometric tolerances can be down to 0.005 mm, but must be clearly indicated in the technical drawing.

Generally, as machined parts should be free of sharp edges and no surface defects like scratches, dents, rust, stains, blemishes, hang marks, dirt inclusions, etc.

In order to get a better appearance, some post-processing or finishing methods can be used to improve the aesthetic of the machined parts.

No MOQ required, we can help you turn your design into reality at a fast turnaround time.

die casting services

FAQ about Die Casting

The standard die casting process involves the injection of high pressure molten metal into a steel mold.

The die casting process typically consists of six main stages, as follows.

Clamping ->> Injection ->> Cooling ->> Ejection ->> Trimming ->> Finishing/Post-processing

Cold chamber die casting and hot chamber die casting are the two common types of die casting processes.

The cold chamber die casting process is primarily applied to high melting point alloys such as aluminum, magnesium, some copper and iron alloys.

The hot chamber die casting process is ideal for zinc alloys, lead alloys, copper and other low melting point alloys.

The lifespan of a mold depends on its material ,heat treatment, and wall thickness of the castings.

Generally, the lifespan of a die varies between 50,000 and 250,000 shots.

But please rest assured that the tooling charge is refundable once the minimum order quantity is reached, and no further tooling charge is required for the next order.

Sure.

We will design multi-cavity molds based on factors such as the size and weight of the workpiece, thus improving manufacturing efficiency.

plastic injection molding parts

FAQ about Injection Molding

The primary costs in injection molding are associated with the following three factors:

  • Tooling costs: depend upon the total cost of designing & fabricating the mold.
  • Material costs: depend upon the volume of raw material and its unit price.
  • Production costs: depend upon the efficiency of the production cycles.

In general, tooling costs are relatively constant, independent of the number of parts manufactured, while material costs and production costs are determined by the production volume.

For small batch production, tooling costs are a relatively large part of the total, so the focus should be on how to simplify the tooling fabrication.

In contrast, in high-volume manufacturing, the tooling cost is negligible, when the main consideration should be to minimize the thickness of a design and the injection molding cycle time.

The lifespan of an injection mold is measured in its expected shots. Where a shot represents one cycle in the injection molding process.

So in essence, the number of shots directly correlates to the maximum number of parts an injection mold will be able to produce in its lifetime.

Factors that affect the longevity of the injection mold as follow:

  • Operating conditions
  • Time between production runs
  • Cycle times
  • Injection mold material

The lifespan of our mold can be up to 500,000 shots.

Sure.

Whether to use multi-cavity molds depends on the size of the injection molded part and the order quantities to achieve the best cost-effective.

1. Benefits of injection molding:

  • Lower level of waste
  • Suitable for high volume manufacturing
  • An attractive visual appearance available
  • Broad range of materials

2. Drawbacks of injection molding:

  • Higher start-up and tooling charges
  • Longer delivery time due to injection molds need to be specially manufactured
  • Costly for design changes
surface finish parts

FAQ about Surface Finishing

To get better aesthetics, it is best to define the A-side and a B-side in your design in advance to ensure that the most important areas are free of defects.

For the A-side of the part, that is the critical surface, note that there should be free of defects such as scratches, stains, hanging marks, and other blemishes, etc. Instead, the B-side, usually the secondary surface, could be allowed with minor defects such as hanging marks, but should try to minimize them.

For the cosmetic parts with aesthetic requirements, the following three aspects should be noted:

  1. Guarantee that the parts as required are free of defects during production.
  2. Ensure that the definition of A-side and B-side should be considered when surface finishing.
  3. Packaging should be considered in advance to ensure that there is no damage during shipping.
mass production

FAQ about Batch Manufacturing

In batch manufacturing, it’s both important and not easy to achieve to maintain consistent quality, so effective inspection programs and methods are necessary.

We will apply the strategy of multi-times sampling inspection, or 100% full inspection with automated inspecting equipment separately according to the actual needs to achieve excellent quality control and ensure high quality delivery.

We promise that the price will remain fixed throughout the contract duration.

Since we have optimized our production process, the main factor influencing the final price is the cost of raw materials, unless there is a significant fluctuation in material costs, and we will propose to renegotiate the price in the next contract.

In the mass production, we will be equipped with automated production lines according to the process characteristics of the required parts, and these automated equipment is very scalable and can be increased or decreased on capacity demand.

Therefore, to improve the productivity is to increase the equipment accordingly and to realize one personnel to multiple machine tools.

In order to meet your flexible delivery needs, we can use automated production lines to increase productivity, double shifts system as needed, and finally, for parts that require iterative production, advance inventory stocking can be achieved.

These above initiatives can fully guarantee flexible delivery time requirements.
